TO RULE IS EASY,TO GOVERN DIFFICULT.

When the Nigerian government between year 2000 and 2007 begin to encourage the private sector to invest on crude oil refining, and 22 licensees awarded to some private investors for the construction of new refineries, people thought that the government were sincere.  Up till this moment non of this private refineries has been able to commence any thing in that respect, in building any refinery, they have a compounded problems if it is not government unfavorable business condition, it is lack of financial resources.

As we are talking about that, this government raised our hope to build Greenfield Refineries in the following states Lagos, Bayelsa and Kogi,it is quite sad that there is not sincerity in the part of government. This government has been footdragging on this issue of Greenfield refineries.

The government is shifting their responsibilities to fuel subsidy, falling to put the old refineries to working condition, to build new once or to encourage private investors to build refineries, that could meet the demand of daily national 32million litres per day consumption, instead of the present low production capacity of 445,000 barrels per day.

This government lack idea’s or do not have the willing power to implement idea’s,they are just ruling and not governing,to rule is easy,but to govern very difficult.

WE SAY NO!

This government is like an empty head;

which not really empty,but head filled with insensitivity or stuffed with rubbish.

Hence the difficulty of forcing reasonable thing into the empty head.

WE SAY NO TO OIL SUBSIDY,WE SAY NO TO EPILEPTIC NATURE OF ELETRICITY, NO TO BAD ROADS,NO TO ANYTHING LESS THAN #18,000.00 NAIRA MINIMUM WAGE, TO THE CIVIL SERVANTS. If this government is not ready to lead they should get out of the road,for those who have the vision and the mission to lead.

THE NIGERIA POLICE ARE AT IT AGAIN; THE SECURITY OF THE NATION IS IN DISTRESS AND NIGERIA IS DESPAIRING.

It was just on the 1st of Nov. 2011, I wrote on the arrest of three Policemen who allegedly participated in the killing of 25-year old Emmanuel Victor, at the Sani Abacha Expressway, Yenogoa, Bayelsa State, on Sunday 16th October, 2011, for commenting on the extortion of money from commercial motor cyclists, popularly known as Okada. Earlier on, I commented on the killing of two brothers born of the same mother and father by the Police, at Okitipupa in Ondo State. Till now, the investigation of these two separate killings of three young innocent men has not led to any known prosecution, in spite of the promise of the PPRO of Bayelsa Police Command, Mr Eguavon Emokpae (DSP), to make the outcome of the orderly-room trial of the killers of Emmanuel Victor, known to the public.


As if that is not bad enough, The Nigeria Police are at it again. Only yesterday did the Vanguard report the killing of a 78 year-old Pa Amos Oriyomi, Baale of Bamgbelu Parafa Community in Ikorodu Local Government of Lagos State. According to the report, life was snuffed out of the septuagenarian, Pa Amos Oriyomi on Thursday, 10 November, at 5. 30 pm, shortly after his last super with some visitors, who came to see him.


This unfortunate incident of the killing of Pa Amos Oriyomi would make it the third time I am writing on the atrocities committed by our Police who are paid from the coffers of the Public Fund to protect lives and properties of Nigerians. This year alone, the Security Sector alone (Military, Police, Internal Affairs Ministry, Police Reform, etc) got a mind-boggling appropriation of N1052 billion, which is about 35% of the total Federal Government Budget. What Nigerians are getting from this jumbo allocation, is wanton destruction of lives and properties. These are three extra-judicial killings by men in police uniform, and a carnage, too many.


When one adds these unfortunate incidents with the killing of over 150 people in Damaturu, Yobe State by Boko-Haram, on the Jumat day preceeding the Eid-EilKabir Festival, it becomes obvious that life is becoming highly unsafe in Nigeria, regardless of the impression that General Owoeye Azazi, the National Security Adviser to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, would want to give to the outside world, to the contrary.. Could this retired Army General be said to be insensitive to the security situation of the country or is the denial a mere hypocrisy?. Or is this the time to be chasing shadows and engage in grandstanding instead of facing the reality of the security situation with a view to finding a lasting solution to the menace? The truth of the matter is that the security of the country is in distress, and Nigeria is despairing


Only yester-night was one of our sisters Chi Tola was asking the President, on the security of life and property in Nigeria, I jokingly advised her not to rely on the President or anybody for that matter, as nobody could be trusted on the present situation of the country. Rather, I told her to rely on God, who never fails and to continue to chant Psalm 23; 1 &4. Seriously speaking now, I wish to suggest that as an interim measure and pending whichever re-organisation that the Government wants to carry out, the suspected police in the killing of any Nigerian, should be charged to court under Sections 315 &316 0f the Criminal Code. We should stop making them to face orderly-room trial, which is a mere smoke-screen to cover the iniquities and heinous crime of murder, on daily basis as it is being done presently, by the Police. ENOUGH SHOULD BE ENOUGH

I am calling on the president and commander- in- chief  of federal republic of Nigeria, Dr.Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, not to allow some greedy Nigerians to advise him wrongly to stick to the removal of oil subsidy.

Should he refuse to listen to the voice of reason crying from the wilderness  not to remove the subsidy, this may lead to crisis in Nigeria, which those in government could not contain.

What any sensible government could do in things like this is to hold wide consultation and feel the purse of the people before embarking in such destructive venture .

The president should be aware of this that those of them that are advising him to remove petroleum subsidy, are enemies of the people. They will be the first to run away to another country when the crisis of this removal subsidy begin.

Mr. President you have no excuse to give if you fail on this because the bulk stops at your table, you must take responsibility of failure of your government.

Ignorance is not an excuse to law. If one goes contrary to the law he faces the consequences.

Instead of your  government embarking on this fruitless journey, I will advise you to urgently refurbish  the four refineries in the country, so that they would stop this senseless  importation of fuel from foreign countries.

We all know that the importation of fuel is as a result of corruption, the cabal  who w’re milking the country dry will not let go such opportunity or allow it, to slip their way.

Prices are determined by market forces, but here in Nigeria once prices has gone up it hardly come down. Nigerians must enjoy subsidy, if in the actual sense this subsidy has been effectively carried out all  this years.

A regrettable danger is around the corner if this government insist in the proposal of oil subsidy, it will negatively affect the masses of this country, this will aggravate the sufferings of the so called common man instead of alleviating it.

It is going to carry chain effect, other products, services inclusive will be unimaginable.

This government should concentrate on addressing the welfare of the people, and take more interest on the poor state of infrastructure, with the resources from the excess crude oil revenue.

From all indication corruption is the only thing that is militating against the working of the refineries. If the government themselves are not corrupt  they would have blocked the loopholes where funds are looted. 

If the effectively block all the loopholes there will be no need to talk about removal of subsidy.

BUNCH OF NEVER-DO-WELL.

Detaining any body for speaking against oil subsidy in Nigeria is a sure way ,this government is proving to the world and Nigerians that they are bunch of NEVER-DO-WELL. They must understand one thing, power the say belong to the people, the masses have constitutional right to take it back, when they passed vote of no confidence in the government.

Be that as it may, the pews  can not be taller than the pulpit, the earlier this government understand this the better for them.

Having said that, this government should prepare their detention room where it will contain all the masses of this country because, we ‘re in one voice saying NO to petroleum subsidy.

It has become more striking that this government is noting but A WHITE HOSRE THAT IS  VERY ESPENSIVE TO MAINTAIN THAT CAN NEVER WIN A RACE.

Any government that is doing well,will not be afraid of it’s citizens speaking out their minds, in the affairs of national importance, such as fuel subsidy.

Nigerian masses are  hard pressed to the wall by this government, when you are hard pressed to a wall, it breeds defense mechanism. And the only option is civil disobedience or bloodless revolution.

If we don’t rebel, if we’re not physically in an active revolution, then it’s spiritual death.

It is now or never.

Let the revolution begin now.

Nigeria is in a cross road, according to news paper report today.

The national security adviser to the president  today exhibited their weakness once again when he took on, the United states of America warning, on attacks in the Federal Capital Territory as “non new”. Yes he will call it non new because killing innocent Nigerians has become a norm therefore it has become part of election promises fulfilled.

There is one saying that my people use to say; when a particular festival continued for a year it becomes  custom for the people.

Azazi repeated the same old song of the government in Nigeria, the security agencies were up to the task of securing the country.

Tell me, the security agencies are up to the task and people are being killed everyday in Jos Plateau state, the Boko Haram making real their treat of bombing and killing innocent citizens of this nation.

US Embassy has received information that Boko Haram may plan to attack several locations and hotels in Abuja, Nigeria, Potential targets may include the Nicon Luxury, the Sheraton Hotel, and the Transcorp Hilton Hotel.

Let this government show it by action that they are on top of the matter, at least by reducing this insecurity in the country to the barest minimum.

I have to say this once again revolution is now,if we the masses of this country truly need a change. We must not try to predict or timing the revolution.

It is impossible to predict the time and progress of revolution. It is governed by its own more or less mysterious laws. But when it comes it moves irresistibly.

Let the revolution begin now.

THE GOVERNMENT ARE NOT SINCERE.

Laughable; the inspector general of police Hafiz Ringim,once again said that the bombing which has continued unabetted by the Boko Haram sect,will be checkmated. This is coming after the weekend, preposterous bombing of Damaturu in Yobe State,and Maiduguri Borno State. Please can they tell Nigerians how long it will take them to checkmate this mania?

 We have continued to be hearing this assurance for a long time now, yet nothing concrete seems to be done by the police.  It is the same old story of the security operatives in Nigeria saying,’ we are on top of the matter’.while things continue to go wrong. A young lady from Enugu state, Eucharia Remmy a graduate of University of Nigeria Nsuka, who was doing her youth service in Damaturu,Yobe state was attacked and killed by the Boko Haram.

This government should cover their face in shame because they have failed to protect the innocent people of this country, who ‘re victims of insecurity. This government is not committed to bring a change, and improve the condition of lives of our people, they have continued to give lip service to this, just like all the previous administration before them did. It is a simple fact that there will be no peace in Nigeria till the leader’s learn to serve the people than serving them selves.

If government is sincere to stop this illogic bombing and killing of innocent people in this country, they know how to go about it.

Member’s of Boko Haram are living in the same society where we live, people knows them, they stay’s in the same house with some of us, they are not invisible.

Why they became invisible is because they are doing the hit on, for some elements in government. It is the duty of any government to lend wings to,it’s citizens to fan the flame of better life.

The time to make a change is now tomorrow mght be too late.
